Local author Myrtle Conacher will be at Turtleford Library

Turtleford Library is hosting an afternoon with Myrtle Conacher, local author of The Crocodile Connection published in 2009 and Murder on the Maritime published in 2007.
Myrtle will be at the library Tuesday, March 23rd, from 2 - 4 p.m. doing book signings and answering any questions you may have. She will also have additional copies of her books for sale.
Coffee and sandwiches will also be available.

Laughing all the way to the Library
Join
us at the Meadow Lake Library one Saturday a month (November - April)
as we get together and discuss Canadian books! Each month we will
read a different genre of Canadian literature. We will wrap it up
with a party afternoon of favourite Canadian books and food!
Get ready to laugh on Saturday, March 27 from 1:00pm to 2:30

Movie Memories: To Catch a Thief
North Battleford Library will be showing To Catch a Thief on Tuesday, March 30 at 1:30pm
John Robie is a one-time cat burglar, now reformed and living a
blameless life in a plush villa. When a fresh set of burglaries rocks
the Riviera all bearing the hallmark of Robie's own robberies, he is the
natural suspect. Robie sets out to catch the new burglar himself,
mainly to prove his innocence. He is aided by an American heiress, who
initially is convinced that he is actually guilty.

Flick Fest 9 - Call for Submissions
The Battlefords
Allied Arts Council, North Battleford Library & the Chapel Gallery are calling for
Submissions for Flick Fest 9
We are looking for original VHS/DVD films of a maximum length
of 15 minutes. All ages, individuals, and non-commercial
groups residing in the
Lakeland Library Region are eligible to enter.
Entry Deadline: April
22, 2010
Films will be featured in a Public
Screening on May 13, 2010 at 1:00pm and 7:00pm at North Battleford Library
